Local NHS Meetings

East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust

the Trust which runs the Eastbourne DGH and the Conquest Hospital in Hastings holds a monthly Board meeting in public alternating between Eastbourne DGH and the Conquest at Hastings.

Conquest Hospital meetings are held in the Committee Room, Level 4.
Eastbourne DGH meetings are held in St Mary's Board Room, Ground Level. Meetings start at 9.30am. They are normally held on the last Wednesday of each month alternating between the Eastbourne DGH and The Conquest Hospital in Hastings.  Any member of the public can attend these meetings.

East Sussex Down & Weald PCT (Primary Care Trust)

the Trust which decides where the money to finance the local health service goes.  This Trust pays for services Eastbourne DGH provides and has a say in what they want provided, in other words commissions the service.  Meetings are held every two months normally at East Sussex Downs & Weald PCT Offices, 2 Friars Walk, Lewes, East Sussex. Members of the public can attend.

NHS South East Coast SHA (Strategic Health Authority)

the Trust which is responsible for all the NHS services in the South East of England.  Meetings are held quarterly at various venues and members of the public can attend.

East Sussex HOSC (Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee)

This Committee oversees the local health services and the Trusts can be held to account by this committee.  It is made up of local Councillors and elected individuals who try to ensure local health services are not compromised.

We need to continue to make sure that the all those who run our local health services know that Maternity and our other essential emergency services are not negotiable. We need them at both Eastbourne AND Hastings... not either or!!
