All four of my daughters were born in the DGH, two of which required urgent and emergency intervention. My previous pregnancies were perfectly normal, therefore the need for intervention was unexpected. Without the DGH, being without transport, i wou.....<br/>

Having worked as a midwife in london for 35 years prior to retiring to eastbourne. I find it astounding that people in power care so little for the safety of our future children. In an emergency the cuts will cost lives.<br/>

The goverment are totally going against their word in saying things like try to reduce pollution, but in my eyes they have just increased it themselves. Traveling that distance is putting mothers and childrens lives at risk. We need to support the DG.....<br/>

Having in the past had my life saved by the DGH so i feel the need to fight very strongly to keep our core services in Eastbourne if i should go into shock again i for one would be dead before we could get to Hastings or Brighton<br/>

to close any part of our hospital is madness, hospitals are already not coping around the country because of closures and over population of people, i have seen this with my own eyes and its frightning! I back this 100%<br/>

it is madness to even think about closing essential services at DGH especially the maternity dept, among other things it will stretch ambulances beyond the limit as women or their partners are not going to risk driving 20 or so miles when in labour! .....<br/>

It's crazy to think these people who don't even live in the TOWN want to shut down our VITAL SERVICES!!! As a employee of the NHS and a provider of such emergency services...I feel it is a discrace to put people's at risk for the sake of saving som.....<br/>
